Project 2 Progress – Early Poster Concepts
For Project 2, I’ve been working on a series of sketches that explore different visual concepts for my final poster design. The goal here was to brainstorm freely and get a range of ideas onto the page, focusing on playful and bold designs that could translate well into a finished product.
In this set of sketches, you’ll notice that each one plays with a specific food theme, ranging from burgers and tacos to noodles and ice cream. I wanted to capture the fun, approachable side of these items using dynamic and varied typography styles. Some of the sketches, like "It's Taco Time," use bold, chunky fonts that immediately grab attention, while others, like "Cream" (for ice cream), go for a more whimsical, softer feel with hand-drawn, light lettering. I also experimented with characters, like the bear corn dog sketch, which adds a playful, almost mascot-like touch to the design.
The rough, hand-drawn style at this stage allows me to explore the energy and personality I want to bring into the final poster. These sketches are an important step in narrowing down the visual direction that will best convey the fun and approachable vibe I’m aiming for in the final poster design.
I’m excited to continue developing these ideas and refining the typography, layout, and color choices as I move toward the next stages of the project. Stay tuned for more updates as I get closer to the final product!
